Where I Started

Since I was far too young to be on the internet — if we’re being honest — fandom spaces were my education in how societal culture works across the globe. From early Tumblr chaos to the discourse mines of stan Twitter, I watched our collective obsessions reveal truths about power, identity, and belonging that no civics class ever covered. That’s where I learned to read a room, read a text, and read the space between them — skills that turned out to be useful pretty much everywhere I’ve worked since.

That journey took me from passive consumer to active analyst, and eventually to founding The Convergence Lens, a worker-owned independent publication where pop culture meets political reality. Our work spans investigative journalism, cultural analysis, media literacy education, and social justice advocacy, all built on the idea that fandom isn’t frivolous; it can very easily be a stepping stone for people to recognize harmful patterns and learn how to be a better ally.

Five years in corporate marketing and writing prior to my decision to launch my own company taught me the parts of this work that are far more arduous but no less important for success: how to hit a deadline, brief a stakeholder, and make a strategy actually ship. I bring the discipline I learned over those years into every creative project I take on today.

What I’m Doing Now

The drive for a more equitable way of doing things, the same drive that led to the creation of my publication, built everything else you’ll see on this site.

As an actor, I trained at T. Schreiber Studio and Theatre in On-Camera Acting, Acting Technique, and Meisner Technique, with additional training in Script and Character Analysis at Actorsite Inc., Stage Performance and Short Form Improv at Imagination Stage Co., and Performance Technique and Scene Study at Round House Theatre Co.

As a filmmaker, I direct, produce, and write projects that are telling important stories in the right ways — by letting those who lived the stories be the ones to tell them.

As a moderator, I host Random Chats, a recurring virtual panel series for Random Acts, where I’ve sat across from guests including Misha Collins, Kim Rhodes, and Rachel Miner.

And behind the camera, I shoot portrait, brand, event, and photojournalistic work, because I’m just as interested in what a photograph reveals as I am in what a headline does.

Where I’m Headed

In addition to The Convergence Lens, my small but mighty team and I have also launched Convergence Lens Studios, our worker-owned production studio. Long-term, I want to help build more of these structures in entertainment and media — ways for storytellers to make a living and make art without signing away either to capitalism. That’s the reason for everything you see on this site. I want to live in a world where everyone, regardless of race, class, gender, disability, or sexuality, can have an equal shot at not just success, but their basic needs.

We have all the resources we need to provide food, shelter, clothing, etc., to every human being on this planet we call home. We just don’t, because the powers that be have decided that what matters most is enriching their own pockets rather than caring for the collective. I wholeheartedly reject this way of life. It is entirely possible to ensure everyone’s needs are met without crippling our entirely made up economy. Humans created this system. We can create a new one.
